Veteran Bollywood actor and filmmaker Manoj Kumar has passed away at the age of 87. He died on Friday in Mumbai due to heart-related complications.
Kumar, known for his patriotic films such as Upkar, Purab Aur Pachhim, and Kranti, was a prominent figure in Indian cinema. His contributions earned him the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2015.
Tributes have poured in from Bollywood and political leaders, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi describing him as an “icon” whose films inspired generations.
