Eyitayo Ogunmola, CEO of Utiva, an educational technology company, has been named as the ‘Most Outstanding Young Person in Tech’ at the second edition of the Lagos Youth Awards.
The 34-year-old clinched the coveted award ahead of other nominees such as Ife Durosimi-Etti (Herconomy), Yusuf Hamzat (Techbase), Emmanuel Babalola (Bundle Africa), Yanmo Omotogbe (COO, Bamboo) and Ayoola Ogunlowo (Korapay).
The tech category was proudly sponsored by Senator Abiru Innovation Lab (SAIL), an initiative of the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District, Tokunbo Abiru.
Through his company Utiva, Ogunmola has helped over 45,000 Africans learn technology skills and supported major startups and enterprises to hire talents among Africans and minorities.
Tagged “The Disruptors”, the second edition of the Lagos Youth Awards — an initiative of BBN360 — honoured no fewer than 20 outstanding young people drawn from different fields such as medical services, law, entrepreneurship, arts, entertainment, among others.
