Kamala Harris, the US Vice President and 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, launched a scathing attack on Donald Trump at a campaign rally in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 30, 2024.

“The momentum in this race is shifting, and there are signs that Donald Trump is feeling it,” Harris said.

Harris dared Trump to debate her face-to-face, saying, “Well, Donald, I do hope you’ll reconsider meeting me on the debate stage, because as the saying goes, if you’ve got something to say, say it to my face.”

Trump recently refused to debate Harris, calling her “crazy” and a “bum.” Harris responded, “In this campaign, I will proudly put my record against his any day of the week.”

With just 98 days before the election, Harris is under pressure to announce her vice presidential pick. When asked if she had chosen one, Harris said, “Not yet.”

Harris also criticized Trump’s stance on immigration, saying, “Donald Trump does not care about border security. He only cares about himself.”

Harris pledged to focus on key economic goals if elected, including expanding affordable healthcare and tackling rising consumer costs. She also attacked Trump’s “extreme abortion bans,” saying, “We are not going back to the failed policies of Trump.”

Harris emphasized the importance of Georgia in the election, saying, “The path to the White House runs right through this state.”

The Trump campaign responded, saying, “Kamala Harris and her complicit cronies have made the great people of Georgia pay a hefty price for their woke policies.”

Harris took over a bleak electoral map from President Joe Biden, but Democrats are now looking at other “sunbelt” states such as Georgia, Arizona, and Nevada, which they narrowly won in 2020.
