The leadership of Cattle and Foodstuff dealers under the aegis of Amalgamated Union of Foodstuff and Cattle Dealers of Nigeria (AUFCDN), on Wednesday, agreed to end the blockade of supplies to the south.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that they reached the agreement at a meeting with some governors in Abuja which had in attendance, Yahaya Bello, Kogi State governor.
Following appeals made by the governors, the traders have decided to suspend the food blockage partially.
Recall that the foodstuff dealers, on February 25, had embarked on the industrial action, blocking food trucks heading to the south, over the alleged maltreatment of their members.
