There was pandemonium at the popular Ile-Epo market in the Agbado/Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, yesterday Monday after a policeman shot a 25-year-old motorcyclist-passanger.

Blackbox Nigeria gathered that the victim, one Sebiu Muhammed , was on a bike whose rider was being chased by policemen from the Ile-Epo police station.

The motorcyclist eventually pulled over, asking the victim to quickly alight, unfortunately, one of the policemen shot Sebiu, making traders and commuters alike scampered for safety.

The victim was immediately rushed to the nearby Orile Agege General Hospital, from where he was referred to Lagos State Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) Ikeja for operation.

The shot was to the victim’s lower abdomen, and it was so severe that his intestines came out.

In what looked like a reprisal, aggrieved cyclists and friends of the victim attempted to burn down the Ile-Epo police station, however, over 50 policemen were able to repel the attack, restoring nomocracy in the area.

While many assumed that was the end to the fast and furious saga, some people in the area set ablaze the dump site directly at the back of the police station.

The dump site is haven for miscreants who usually terrorize the area, especially at night.
