UNILAG MBA Students’ Association Set To Hold Business Seminar For Young Entrepreneurs
The leadership of Masters in Business Administration Students Association (MBASA) of University of Lagos have concluded plans to hold it’s maiden edition of Business seminar geared towards enhancing and improving the output of young entrepreneurs who are students of the tertiary institution.
The initiative was made known at the press briefing held at the Yaba Campus of the varsity where the President of the Association, Mr Tunde Ojelabi disclosed that the seminar is the first of its kind to be organised by the Students of the Masters’ programme. He stated that the initiative was bourne out of the present administration’s Executives to organise something different in partnership with the University’s Management for the benefits of students. He also added that the institution’s leadership will be present at the seminar.
The seminar, tagged Towards Business Excellence; A Practical Orientation is aimed at creating an avenue to talk about business and also for networking purposes for the participants. The likes of Barr Ladipo Johnson, Mr Victor Okoro, Mr Temitope Ologunoye and Mr Essien Efana-Okon will be present at the seminar.
In his remark, the Public Relations Officer of the Association, Mr Akinsanmi Olusimirin announced that the seminar will feature seasoned business moguls who are well equipped with tips to help young entrepreneurs so as to have better approach in their day-to-day running of their businesses.
Among those billed to speak at the event include; Mr Kola Adesina, Chairman od Egbin Power Plant; Mr Leo Stan Ekeh, Chairman of Zinox Technologies Ltd; Mr Wale Adediran, Group HR Director, Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc; Mr David Apaflo, CEO Shelze Consulting; and Mrs Eunice Briamah, Business Transformation Directo EXP Marketing Nigeria.
Mr Akinsanmi disclosed that participants at the seminar are guaranteed to learn essential business leads such as Human Resources, Finance, Management and Macro Economics indices and how to relate each and every one of the business ethics to their business activities.
Also at the press briefing were Mr Olatunde Ayodele, the Association’s General Secretary and Mr Alao Ahmed, a representative of the Students of the Association. Mr Ayodele stressed the importance of bridging the gap between academics and practical realities of life as such, consultants, analyst and technocrats will be invited to dissect and teach all the intricacies about businesses.
