UK Awards LASU Graduate, Sijuade Animashaun Chevening Scholarship
The United Kingdom Foreign and Commonwealth office (FCO) have awarded Sijuade Animashaun Chevening Scholarship to study Masters of Law degree. Sijuade is a graduate of Law from Lagos State University, Ojo.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the yearly competitive scholarship was awarded to 40 Nigerians with outstanding academic qualities out of the thousands that applied for same.
The Chevening scholarship is being awarded by the British High Commissioner, Paul Arkwright. It is a programme that offers avenue for exceptional scholars with potentials of future leaders the opportunity to study fully funded master’s degree in the country. Successfully awardees are also inducted into the Global Network of the Chevening Community.
BBN gathered that Sijuade as being a top scholar since his days at LASU LAWS as maintained the Lagos State sholarship scheme through out his stay and was also among the top 5% who graduated from the Nigerian Law School in 2014. He is currently a practising lawyer with a reputable firm that works across sectors in the country.
The 40 awardees are expected to leave for UK next month for their programme just as new applications for the 2018/2019 Chevening Scholarship has fully commenced on the official website.
