By UEFA: Van Dijk named men’s player of the year, as Messi emerges Forward of the year

Liverpool’s defender: Virgil Van Dijk has received the title of the 2018/2019 Men’s Player of the Year for UEFA Champions league.
This came barely less than 48 hours after UEFA had announced Juventus forward, Cristiano Ronaldo and the Laliga star, Lionel Messi from Barcelona as the nominees for the UEFA’s men player of the year.
The dexterous Barcelona Captain, Lionel Messi was also awarded the title of UEFA Champions League 2018/2019 Forward of the year.
BlackBox Nigeria also gathered from UEFA’s instagram page that Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Alisson Becker was awarded the 2018/2019 UEFA Champions League for goalkeeper of the season.
