A fatal accident claimed the lives of two drivers on Monday morning at Ayedere village, along the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.
According to Babatunde Akinbiyi, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), the accident involved a Mazda bus and a Mazda car.
He said that the driver of the unregistered Mazda car was driving against traffic and collided with the Mazda bus marked SEY 311 ZY.
The impact of the collision killed both drivers on the spot, while a motor boy with the bus was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
Akinbiyi added that the family of the car driver had taken his corpse for burial, while the body of the bus driver was deposited at Ifo General Hospital morgue.
He urged motorists to obey traffic rules and regulations and avoid driving in a direction prohibited by law.
