By Twitter, an American microblogging platform, has removed the verification tag from the account belonging to Prof.Yemi Obasanjo, Nigeria’s former vice president.
The removal was carried out on Monday morning, shortly after Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima, the new president and vice president, were sworn in.
As of the time of this report, the account belonging to Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate former president, has retained its verification status.
Furthermore, as of the time of press, the accounts of Tinubu and Shettima have not yet been granted the special verification tag that signifies the authenticity and official status of government representatives.
