Twitter Agog As Young Nigerian Dies For Lack Of Oxygen In 5 Hospitals
The Twitter Nigeria sphere has been Agog for hours following the news of a young Nigerian who died due to lack of oxygen in 5 hospitals visited by his loved ones who were battling to save his life.
According to his close friend, Mr Ayo Atitebi who took to Twitter to register his displeasure after the loss, he disclosed that Chris (the deceased) struggled to be alive just as different hospitals turned them down since they don’t have the needed facility.
He tweeted, “He fought hard for his life. He fought hard to stay back. He didn’t wanna go. He wanted to stay. He ?wanted? to!
Shitty system failed him.
So 5 hospitals didn’t have oxygen and we lost you, Chris! 5 goddamned hospitals! Loving this country is HARD!!! Nigeria sucks.”
Checks by BlackBox Nigeria revealed that the sad incident happened on Monday, September 25, 2017, but the actual names of the hospitals visited couldn’t be ascertained from Mr Ayo as he is yet to respond to questions sent to him about the places visited.
The ugly incident has caused another stir in the public health care system as aggrieved social media users alleged that the decay in the sector prompts top government officials to go for medical tourism in foreign countries, sighting example of the President, Muhammadu Buhari who recently stayed in London for over 3months.
