President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Olayiwola Nurudeen “Ola” Awakan, a seasoned journalist at TVC News, as the next Director‑General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC).
The approval was confirmed in a statement issued by the presidency and published by TVC News.
Awakan’s four‑year tenure begins September 2, 2025, marking a new phase of leadership for the NTDC.
He becomes the latest in a series of new federal agency heads appointed by President Tinubu, including the heads of the National Biosafety Management Agency and the Investment and Security Tribunal.
