Former U.S president, Donald Trump has sharply criticized President Joe Biden, accusing him of being unfit for the presidency and alleging that deceit and media manipulation secured Biden’s position in the White House.
Trump made these remarks on Sunday, shortly after Biden announced his withdrawal from the presidential race amid mounting pressure from within his party as reported by Sahara Reporters.
Following a highly scrutinized debate with Trump, President Biden faced significant public and internal party pressure to step down, with many questioning his performance and expressing concerns over his age and political insight. The debate performance, perceived as weak by many, intensified calls for Biden to withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.
In his statement on Sunday, Trump did not hold back: “Crooked Joe Biden was not fit to run for President, and is certainly not fit to serve—and never was! He only attained the position of President by lies, Fake News, and not leaving his Basement. All those around him, including his Doctor and the Media, knew that he wasn’t capable of being President, and he wasn’t—and now, look what he’s done to our Country, with millions of people coming across our Border, totally unchecked and unvetted, many from prisons, mental institutions, and record numbers of terrorists.”
Trump continued, “We will suffer greatly because of his presidency, but we will remedy the damage he has done very quickly. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!”
