Tragic Accident by Drunk Driver Claims Lives of Soldiers in Lagos

A tragic incident unfolded early this morning near the Nigerian Army Sports Centre in Morocco, Yaba, Lagos, as a reckless driver, reportedly intoxicated, crashed into a group of soldiers during their routine route march.
Sources reported that the vehicle, speeding uncontrollably, veered off its course and plowed into the marching soldiers with devastating force. The collision left over 15 soldiers injured, with four confirmed dead and several others suffering severe injuries.
Emergency responders and military medical teams quickly arrived at the scene to administer first aid, with the wounded rushed to nearby hospitals for urgent treatment.
The driver, who was alleged to be under the influence of alcohol, has been taken into custody, and authorities have launched an investigation into the incident.
Although the Nigerian Army has yet to issue an official statement, sources confirmed that both disciplinary and legal actions would be pursued.
