Tragedy! Lawmaker Who Spoke Against Herdsmen, Ibi Killed In Taraba
Fresh reports has confirmed the death of Hon Hosea Ibi, a Taraba State lawmaker who was kidnapped late last year.
It was gathered that the late member of the Taraba State House of Assembly, representing Takum II Constituency was kidnapped on December 31st, 2017 days after he spoke against the activities of the Fulani herdsmen.
According to a statement by the Police Relations Officer of Taraba State Police Command, Mr David Misal, Hon Ibi’s body was found in Takun Local Government on Monday. He also added that he might have died days before his body was found.
Hon Ibi was on the eve of New Year kidnapped in his hometowm, Takum, where he was to usher in 2018. Though the State Police Command confirmed the incident, no arrest was made in connection to the kidnap.
