Sad news as top Nollywood actor dies of diabetes
Veteran Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Obi Madubogwu is dead. He died on Monday, August 28, 2017 from complications arising from diabetes.
Obi Madubogwu is best remembered for highly rated Nollywood classic ‘Conspiracy ‘ which stars legendary musicia , Onyeka Onwenu, Charles Okafor, Nkem Owoh and the late Larry Koldsweat. Obi wrote and produced the 1999 movie while also playing a lead role.
Obi Madubogwu has been battling the ailment for some years now which took him the screen. His last movie was produced in 2015 and it featured Joke Silva, Ramsey Noauh and Joseph Benjamin. It was titled ‘Grave Dust’.
While details of his death remains sketchy, BlackBox Nigeria learnt that he died of a medical condition known as ‘acute diabetics foot ulcers’.
