Elder Reuben Adenrele Olowu, a top chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State, has passed away.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the seasoned politician breathed his last in the early hours of Friday in the United States where he was receiving medical treatment for an undisclosed ailment.
A source said Olowu had been battling with a protracted illness since February before his passing. He died about 6 days to his 77th birthday.
However, his family is yet to officially announce the development to members of the public.
Until his death, Olowu was the leader of an APC caucus in Igbogbo/Bayeku LCDA of Ikorodu Division, Lagos. He was also the frontman of a major power bloc in the politics of Ikorodu Constituency II.
