By The Delta Command of the Nigerian Police claims it has killed Tompolo. The deceased is a widely known notorious armed robber who shares the same alias with a former militant leader BlackBox Nigeria has learned.
Confirming the story, the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Andrew Aniamaka disclosed that while his other gang members escaped with bullet wounds, the ring leader was not so lucky as he was felled by the Police who were respondig to a distress call after Tompolo and his boys robbed a woman of a huge sum of money.
“Tompolo and his boys robbed a woman of her handbag containing huge sums of money she was going to the market with.
“Tompolo and his gang members had been terrorising neighbourhoods around here for so long,” he said.
The Delta State Police spokesperson also disclosed that one locally made gun was found on the dead robber.
“Item recovered from the suspect included a cut to size locally made pistol and some rounds of ammunition,” he said.
