The Office of the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media has described the just-concluded Progressive Digital Media Summit as a “long overdue and overwhelming success,” thanking participants for their support and engagement throughout the two-day event.
In a statement signed by Dada Olusegun, Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, the event was hailed as a significant morale booster for progressives across the country and beyond.
Olusegun highlighted President Tinubu’s keynote address, where he emphasized the importance of responsible digital engagement, urging participants and content creators to always “verify before you amplify.”
“The incredible turnout and passionate engagement we witnessed from home and abroad prove that this gathering was not just timely but, as we believed, long overdue,” Olusegun said.
“Your presence and enthusiasm for the message of ‘Renewed Hope’ have been a powerful testament to the impact of strategic, meaningful communication.”
While acknowledging the summit’s achievements, the presidential aide admitted that there were operational lapses during the event and apologized to participants.
He described the challenges as “a valuable learning experience” and promised smoother and more impactful future editions.
Olusegun called on delegates, influencers, and digital strategists to carry the momentum forward, pledging continued dedication to advancing the vision of President Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress (APC).
“To every delegate, every influencer, every strategist, and every supporter: this is not an end, but a new beginning,” he said.
“Continue to be the dedicated soldiers committed to the cause of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our great party, the APC. Your efforts are the bedrock of our success, and your loyalty is the fuel for our progress.”
The statement concluded with appreciation to all attendees and a call for sustained collaboration to strengthen the digital communication network supporting the current administration.
