Tinubu Sacks Son, Others From Attending FEC Meetings

President Bola Tinubu has ordered a strict enforcement of the protocol for attending Federal Executive Meetings at Aso Rock, saying that only those with his express permission can be present during these vital discussions.

He said he was alarmed by the unauthorized entry of some individuals into the meetings, including his own son who was seen in a photograph sitting behind the cubicle.

The President made this declaration in a recent address, where he revealed the limited list of individuals who are allowed to attend these meetings with his consent.

They are: Adis Bala Usman – Special Assistant on Policy; Bayo Onanuga – Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Akeem Muri Okunola – Principal Private Secretary; and Damilotun Aderemi – Private Secretary.

He said these individuals have been granted an exception to attend the meetings and participate in the affairs of the nation.

He added that no one else should attempt to join these meetings unless he specifically summoned them.

He said “Last week I noticed undue access people sneaking in and out of this hastle including I saw the photograph of my son, he was sitting behind the cubicle there. That is not acceptable.

“I will announce to you those who are supposed to be here with my consent;

“Bayo Onanuga information and strategy

“Akeem Muri Okunola Principal Private Secretary; and Damilotun Aderemi Private Secretary.

“Those are the people granted the exception here during the time we are conducting the business of the national unless I sent for you, don’t come.”

The President said this measure was necessary to ensure the security and confidentiality of critical government deliberations at Aso Rock.

He also said it would enhance transparency and accountability in Nigeria’s governance.

He expressed his concern about the potential risks and implications of allowing unauthorized access to these meetings.
