Nigerian TikTok sensation, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has turned to his fans for financial support after his luxury Mercedes-Benz SUV was severely damaged in a recent car accident.
The content creator, known for his humorous and engaging skits, revealed during a livestream that the repairs for the damaged vehicle would cost around ₦11 million, a burden he says he cannot shoulder alone. The accident reportedly occurred along the Lekki-Epe Expressway in Lagos in December 2025.
“Please, I need your help,” Peller told his followers. “The car is still at the mechanic’s place and the bill is too heavy. I’ve been going through a lot.”
Peller’s emotional appeal sparked mixed reactions online. While some criticized the move, calling it insensitive for a celebrity to ask fans for money, others showed support. Popular influencer Sandra Benede reportedly pledged to donate to the cause, encouraging others to help as well.
Footage of the damaged car, which had circulated online shortly after the crash, had earlier drawn public attention, with some accusing the TikToker of staging the incident. However, Peller insisted the crash was real and described the experience as traumatic.
As of now, it’s unclear how much has been raised toward the repair, but the viral plea has once again highlighted the blurred lines between celebrity influence and public expectations in Nigeria’s online space.
