Thugs allegedly working for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) gubernatorial candidate in Lagos State, Abdul-Azeez Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, have allegedly unleashed terror on residents in Aguda in the Surulere area of the state.
This was according to a political activist and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dada Olusegun, who shared a video capturing moments from the incident.
In the video, these thugs were seen in a PDP campaign vehicle, while brandishing guns, and machetes at the Aguda residents. They were also seen shooting sporadically in the video.
Dada, who shared the now-viral video, referred to PDP as the party of killers, saying the opposition won’t win the election in Lagos.
“This is what the thugs following Jandor did in Lagos today. The party of killers and crooks will never win an inch of Lagos ever,” he wrote.
Ripples Nigeria also reported that the clash was between APC and PDP thugs and it took the intervention of policemen to calm the atmosphere stirred by the clash and ensure the safety of Aguda residents.
Meanwhile, Jandor’s convoy was also attacked and blocked by thugs in the area. Recall his deputy governorship candidate and Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele was also chased out of the Ikosi fruit market by thugs while campaigning on Tuesday.
