Music producer Samklef has thrown his support behind Nigerian superstar Davido following the singer’s loss at the recent Grammy Awards.

This comes as a surprise to many as both are known as arch enemy following series of public spat in the past.

In a heartfelt message shared on his X handle, Samklef encouraged Davido to remain proud of his journey, stressing that awards do not define an artist’s true impact or legacy.

According to him, Davido has already achieved victories that matter beyond trophies.

“Dear Davido, hold your head high. A Grammy doesn’t define your impact, your work ethic, or the millions of lives your music has touched,” Samklef wrote.

“You’ve already won where it matters most consistency, longevity, and love from the people.”

The producer described the Grammy outcome not as a defeat but a temporary pause, expressing confidence that greater milestones still lie ahead for the Afrobeats star.

“This is not a loss, it’s just a pause. Greater moments still ahead. Respect always,” he added.

Samklef’s message joins a wave of reactions from fans and industry colleagues who have rallied around Davido since the awards night, praising his contribution to the global rise of Afrobeats and his enduring influence on African music.

Despite missing out on a Grammy win, Davido remains one of Africa’s most celebrated artists, with a career marked by chart-topping hits, international collaborations, and a loyal global fan base.
