In a daring and extraordinary tale of heroism, celebrity native doctor Akwa Okuko Tiwara Aki, popularly known as the Oba, shared his harrowing experience of abduction in Anambra State.

The incident occurred a few days ago while the herbalist was enjoying a pleasurable moment with his friends at a hotel.

According to the native doctor, he received a call from a friend urging him to join them at the hotel where they had spent a significant amount of money, hoping he would subsidize their expenses.

Upon arriving at the hotel, Akwa narrated that he was faced with a terrifying turn of events when he heard gunshots.

He revealed that the bullets fired by the criminals failed to penetrate his body, leaving him unscathed.

However, unfortunately, he recounted that tow of his two security aides were not as fortunate and lost their lives in the incident.

He therefore said he decided not to resist the kidnappers and voluntarily joined them in their vehicle.

According to him, his motive for this act of bravery was to safeguard the lives of others around him, including the people staying at his hotel.

In a viral video released after his release, Akwa recounted his ordeal, revealing that he followed the kidnappers to prevent further bloodshed.

In his words, he knew that if he had disappeared or resisted, it could have led to more killings.

The native doctor showed immense selflessness and compassion by putting the safety of others above his own.

During his captivity, he noted that he overheard news that he was supposedly in debt to some individuals, which the kidnappers claimed as their motive for targeting him.

Akwa however firmly denied owing anyone, asserting that he was financially capable of settling any debts if they were legitimate.

In a resolute and defiant statement, he declared that the kidnappers did not come for him, but rather he had willingly joined them to protect the lives of his people and customers at the hotel.

“I joined them to save lives of people in my hotel. I would have disappeared but if I did, it would have triggered more killings. I followed them to save lives,” Akwa said.

“I was with my captors hearing news that I was owing some people being the reason I was abducted.

“I am a rich man and if I was owing anybody I was equal to the task to pay the person back his or her money.

“The gunmen told me the reason they came to my hotel but certainly not for me. I only followed them to save lives of my people and customers, ” he narrated.
