The father of late Nollywood actor, Junior Pope, Ozor Odonwodo, has passed away at the age of 87.
This comes just one year after his son’s tragic death.
Ozor Odonwodo died on May 12, 2025 after a protected illness, according to a family member.
Junior Pope’s widow, Jennifer Awele, shared the sad news on Instagram on Wednesday expressing her grief and gratitude for the time she had with her father-in-law.
She described him as a genuine and loving person who made significant sacrifices for his family.
The family is still grappling with the loss of Junior Pope, who died on April 10, 2024, after drowning in the Anam River while returning from a movie shoot.
He was 43 years old and leaves behind a wife and three sons.
Jennifer paid tribute to her late father-in-law, praising him for living a full life and reaping the fruits of his labor.
She concluded her emotional post by expressing her faith in the resurrection promise.
