Reality TV star and beauty entrepreneur Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has officially been recognised by the Guinness World Records for completing the most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours by an individual.
Blackbox Nigeria had earlier reported her record breaking attempt during the Tacha Beauty Festival in Lagos, where she completed over 140 makeovers in one day.
According to the official Guinness World Records listing, Tacha achieved 144 makeovers within 24 hours at the John Randle Centre for Yoruba Culture and History, Lagos, between October 11 and 12, 2025. The accomplishment earned her the title Most cosmetic makeovers in 24 hours (individual).
Guinness World Records also announced that she set an additional title for Most cosmetic makeovers in 8 hours (individual), completing 82 makeovers during the same event.
The 24 hour marathon formed part of the Tacha Beauty Festival, an initiative designed to highlight Nigerian creativity and showcase the potential of the country’s beauty industry.
Earlier reports had stated that she completed 145 makeovers,but Guinness officially confirmed the verified number as 144.
With this accomplishment, Tacha becomes the first Nigerian makeup artist to hold Guinness World Record titles for both the 8 hour and 24 hour makeover categories.
