Reality TV personality and beauty entrepreneur, Anita Natacha Akide, popularly known as Tacha, has completed 145 makeovers in 24 hours as part of her attempt to set a new Guinness World Record for the most makeovers done by an individual within that period.
The 24-hour challenge took place in Lagos during the Tacha Beauty Festival, a creative showcase that brought together makeup artists, models, and beauty enthusiasts from across the country.
Tacha began the marathon session at 8:00 PM on Saturday and finished at 8:30 PM on Sunday, exceeding the previous record of 113 makeovers. According to her team, each makeover was properly documented with before-and-after photos and runway showcases for verification purposes.
The record attempt was not without challenges. There was a brief power outage during the early hours of the event, but Tacha continued undeterred, supported by her crew and fans who cheered her on throughout the night.
At the end of the session, Tacha expressed gratitude to her supporters, saying the attempt was more than a personal goal, it was a statement about the creativity and determination of Nigerians. She explained that she chose to carry out the challenge in Nigeria rather than abroad to show that excellence can thrive locally.
The Guinness World Records team is now expected to review the evidence and confirm whether the attempt meets all the criteria for official recognition.If verified, Tacha will become the new record holder for the most makeovers completed in 24 hours by an individual.
