Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has reportedly relocated to the Bayelsa State Government House after being removed from office.
This comes as Admiral Ekwe Ibas (rtd) assume position as the new Sole Administrator of Rivers State.
Fubara’s suspension follows President Bola Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State on March 18, 2025, due to pipeline vandalism and a prolonged political crisis.
According to reports, Fubara is being accommodated by Bayelsa State Governor, Douye Diri.
This development has sparked interest, as Fubara’s whereabouts were previously unknown after he vacated the Rivers State Government House earlier in the week.
It’s worth noting that President Tinubu’s declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State has become a significant move in the political history of the region.
The intervention owing to protect the state has suspended Governor Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Ordu, for six months.
