All is now set for the fund raising for a grassroots politician and mobiliser, Princess Folashade Olabanji-Oba as she declares her intention to aspire to become the Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government Area under the platform of the All Progressives Congress.
The programme themed; #TheIkoroduProject…A Political Discourse and Fund Raising Luncheon is aimed at projecting the Greater Ikorodu mindset. The programme is scheduled to hold on Sunday, May 14th at Elites Event Centre, Ikorodu.
In a brief chat with BlackBox Nigeria, Princess Olabanji-Oba disclosed that her aspiration was on her prediction of service to humanity.
She said, “I believe in the resounding human and developmental potentials of Ikorodu, and in the avowed culture of fairness and equity entrenched in the leadership of our beloved party, APC.”
She also took BBN down memory lane how her political career began with the old Alliance for Democracy (AD) which later changed to Action Congress (AC, then Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN) then now All Progressives Congress (APC). She disclosed that she has since served as volunteer, mobiliser and team leader at various campaigns which has yielded positive fruits for the party.
She said her aspiration is indeed with an indelible mark which is simply a lofty drive to do more.
She also described Ikorodu as a division blessed with potentials and a cradle of civilisation.
“My research and practical participation in community development and other engagements have opened my eyes and mind to a strategic ways in which our Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) can be increased using our ever increasing population and infrastructure development, which are viable reasons to add positively to the Local Government stance,” she stated.
In conclusion, she revealed that her aspiration cannot be achieved alone, but with supports from wellwishers and constituents, it is certain to achieve the goal.
“I humbly request for the prayers, advice and financial supports to attain this feat. I am counting on your support. Greater Ikorodu is Possible…Yes, together forever,” she assured.
