Super Eagles players, Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey have earned spots in the Premier League Team of the Week following their outstanding performances in matchday 26.
The duo, who played a key role in Nigeria’s outing at the recently concluded 2023 AFCON, displayed their talent once again in the recent Premier League fixture.
Bassey opened the scoring for Fulham in their match against Manchester United, with Iwobi sealing the victory with a late goal, earning them three points.
Their impressive display earned them spots in Whoscored.com’s Premier League Team of the Week, alongside other top players like Bukayo Saka and Phil Foden.
Meanwhile, BBC football pundit Garth Crooks recognized Bassey’s performance by including him in his own team of the week.
