The Nigerian national team, Super Eagles have beseeched Nigerians for a second chance following the 0-1 thrashing by Guinea Bissau in their duel on Friday.
In the match held at the Moshood MKO Abiola Stadium, Abuja, the Nigerian team failed to net a goal despite a series of goalscoring chances which was opened up to them leading to their loss to the Guinea Bissau’s team and generating much disappointment from fans.
The Super Eagles, on Saturday, shared a video of their training on their official Facebook page and assured Nigerians that they were on course to make them happy.
“Please don’t give up on us. We know you deserve more and we’re very much on course to make you happy. Final training before jetting out to Guinea Bissau,” the post read.
The Super Eagles are expected to face the Wild Dogs in the second leg of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers in Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday.
With seven points in three games, Guinea-Bissau is top of Group A, while Nigeria ranks second with six points in three games.
Sierra Leone and Sao Tome Principe are third and fourth in the group with two and one points in three games, respectively.
