Yoruba rights activist, Chief Sunday Adeyemo, better known as Sunday Igboho, has officially joined popular social media platform, Twitter.
In a video posted on his newly created official Twitter page, @Igboho_Oosa, the activist disassociated himself from all the previous accounts created with his name. He also disclosed the appointment of Mr Yomi Koiki as his official spokesperson.
Igboho has been in the news for the last couple of weeks over his clampdown on killer Fulani herdsmen in the South-West region of the country.
It would be recalled that he had issued a seven-day ultimatum to herders in Ibarapa area of Oyo State, accusing them of crimes such as kidnapping, killings, destruction of farmland and insecurity in the State.
To reinstate his quit notice, Igboho had confronted the herders with his supporters. Later, he visited Ogun State to push the same order and he was received by thousands of youths.
Recently, supporters of the activist created a Gofundme page for the purpose of raising £100,000 (N51.8m) for him to buy buses to aid his struggle against herdsmen.
