Students of Ilugun High School, located in Elega, Abeokuta, Ogun State, have come under criticism after a viral video surfaced on Monday, September 29, 2025, showing them vandalising school property in broad daylight.
The footage captured groups of students throwing stones at classroom windows until the glass shattered. In some instances, they went further to pull out entire aluminium window slides from their frames, leaving the classroom windows badly damaged.
The incident has sparked outrage among parents and community members, many of whom questioned why students would resort to such destructive behaviour because they felt aggrieved.
Strong calls have been made for their parents to bear the cost of repairs, and also insisted that those involved should face strict disciplinary action, including possible expulsion.
Residents stress that urgent intervention is needed to prevent a repeat of such behaviour and to restore order and discipline within the school.
