Aminu Muhammed, the 500 Level student of The Federal University, Dutse, Jigawa state has tendered a public apology to the First Lady, Aisha Buhari over his viral tweet.
Aminu was picked up from his school some weeks back by men of the Department of State Services over his June 8 tweet, claiming the wife of the President was “feeding fat on the poor masses money”, a tweet tagged defamatory against the First Lady.
The internet was put in a frenzy mood after he was arraigned and remanded in jail, with the public asking for his release.
He was released last Friday night after the First Lady withdrew the case against him.
Muhammed took to his Twitter handle to apologize for his comment on Aisha Buhari. Unlike the first tweet, he typed it in English, claiming he doesn’t mean to hurt her feelings. He wrote, “I would like to use this medium to express my sincere apologies to those I’ve hurt especially our mother, Aisha Buhari.
” It was never my intention to hurt your feelings and Insha Allah, I will change for the better. However, I’m also grateful for your forgiveness, thank u mama,” he concluded.
