It was another grim evening for embattled Manchester United as they suffered another humiliating Premier League defeat in the hands of Watford at the Vicarage Road Stadium.

The Red Devils were far from their real self after another nightmarish display which saw them suffer a 4-1 defeat – their fifth loss in seven matches.

Watford’s road to triumph started in the early minutes of the first half. They won a penalty after Manchester United academy graduate, Joshua King was brought down in the box. But De Gea’s heroic double saves denied Watford an early lead.

However, De Gea’s heroism only lasted few minutes. Watford broke into the lead at the 28th minute when Joshua King put the ball past De Gea.

Watford seemed not be having Man United’s clumsy display as Kiko sliced the ball through United’s defender, meeting Ismaila Sarr who made it two goals before halftime.

The second half commenced with a blight of hope for Manchester United. Cristiano Ronaldo provided an assist for Donny Van Der Beek who headed the ball into the net, making it 2-1. The goal ignited the Red Devils as they charged for an equalizer. Cristiano Ronaldo had a one-on-one chance denied by Watford’s goalkeeper, Ben Forster.

Unfortunately, things went down the hills after Man United’s captain, Harry Maguire picked up second yellow card and was eventually sent off over a careless challenge.

Ole Gunner Solskajaer’s men had their fate sealed after two additional late goals ensured Watford claimed a convincing win.

Currently sitting 7th on the league table, Manchester United are likely to relieve Ole Gunner Solskajaer of his job. The under-fire Norwegian has found life difficult this season despite multiple signings and the return of club legend, Cristiano Ronaldo. The fans are also calling for the sack of the Norwegian gaffer.
