Spanish Athlete, Jenni Hermoso  Supports FA President’s Post-World Cup Victory Kiss

Spanish FA President Luis Rubiales has found himself at the center of a debate after he kissed midfielder Jenni Hermoso on the lips during the medal ceremony. 

The kiss, which occurred amid the medal ceremony, drew criticism on social media platforms, sparking a discussion about professional boundaries and appropriate behavior. 

Despite the backlash, midfielder Jenni Hermoso defended Rubiales’ actions, shedding light on their relationship. 

During an Instagram live stream after the game, Hermoso admitted, “I didn’t like it,” though she expressed this sentiment with laughter.

However, Hermoso later clarified her stance, describing the kiss as a “natural gesture of affection” between herself and the federation president.

She stated, 

“It was a spontaneous mutual gesture because of the immense joy that winning a World Cup brings, 

“The president and I have a great relationship, his bebehaviorith all of us has been outstanding and it was a natural gesture of affection and gratitude.”

Hermoso went on to underscore the significance of their World Cup victory, asserting that the moment of celebration should not be overshadowed by controversy.

“A gesture of friendship and gratitude cannot be gone over so much,

“We have won a World Cup and we are not going to deviate from what is important.”
