By As a wave of preparations dominates the Nigerian polity ahead of the 2023 polls, a group of youths in the South West region of the country have unveiled plans to host a mega declaration to support the presidential ambition of the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The event organized by the group tagged “Progressive Youth of South West” will hold on Saturday, April 16, at the popular Onikan Stadium in Lagos.
The much-anticipated gathering is expected to play host to youths and youth groups drawn from all the five states in the South West region and beyond.
According to the APC Youth Leader in Lagos State, Dr Seriki Muritala, the event is an affirmation of the confidence of progressive-minded youths of the country in the presidential ambition of the APC National Leader, describing Tinubu as “the solution Nigeria seeks”.
“That Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is eminently qualified to lead Nigeria come 2023 is public knowledge. Here is a man who has contributed immensely to the growth of our democracy, even in the face of threats. Same man whose genius helped transform Lagos State into where we are all proud to call home today. I enjoin all well-meaning citizens to join the moving train. With Asiwaju in Aso Rock, Nigeria is in safe hands,” he said.
In the same vein, the youngest local government boss in Nigeria, the Executive Chairman of Ijede LCDA in Ikorodu, Lagos, Hon. Motunrayo Gbadebo-Alogba, who happened to be one of the representatives of Conference57 among the organizers, noted that the project was necessary to remind Nigerians that Tinubu remains their best option to take the country to a greater level in terms of quality leadership and good governance.
