Soldiers earlier this morning took to the street to embark on a community service as they cleared a blocked drainage. The act was aimed at easing the traffic congestion caused by the bad portion of the road at Odogunyan bus stop, Ikorodu, Lagos.
According to Sumner Sambo of TVC News, the soldiers were being led by officers from the 174 Battalion, Ikorodu.
While speaking with TVC, the Commanding Officer of the Battalion, Lt Col Benedict Ezeh disclosed that the community service was sponsored financially by the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabir Shotobi.
Lt Col Ezeh also called on the Government to quickly come to savage the situation as the service of the soldiers was not enough and won’t end the road accidents and traffic jam, but only reduce it.
