Hip-hop icon Snoop Dogg and his family are grieving the death of his 10-month-old granddaughter, Codi Dreaux, who died just weeks after being discharged from intensive medical care.

The tragic news was announced by the rapper’s daughter, Cori Broadus, on Saturday via Instagram.

In a black-and-white photo of herself holding her baby, the 26-year-old wrote: “Monday, I lost the love of my life. My Codi.” The family has not disclosed the cause of death.

Codi was born extremely premature at just 25 weeks in February 2025 after Broadus developed HELLP syndrome, a serious pregnancy complication that required an emergency caesarean section. The infant spent nearly 10 months in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), where doctors worked to stabilise her condition.

Earlier in January, Broadus had shared joyful updates online after finally bringing her daughter home, thanking supporters for prayers and messages during the long hospital stay. Less than three weeks later, she confirmed the devastating loss.

Codi’s father, Wayne Deuce, also paid tribute to his daughter on social media, saying he had been “the saddest” since her passing but believed she was now at peace.

As of Sunday, Snoop Dogg had not publicly commented on the family tragedy.
