By The monthly distribution of food items to constituents in Ikorodu Division by Hon Babajimi Adegoke Benson took place earlier today with many smiling home in preparation for Sallah.
The distribution of ‘Apo Aanu’ is a monthly give back initiative of the Federal lawmaker as he uses it to contribute his own quota to reducing the poverty level in his immediate community.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered that the bag which contains various food items specifically picked to meet immediate needs of every family, is usually given to recipients for a period of three months after which they are changed so as to make it benefit other residents of Ikorodu division.
BBN also gathered that the programme which started barely nine months ago have reached out to over 7,000 constituents in the entire Local Government.
Present to share in the joy of the beneficiaries earlier today was the lawmaker himself and his wife, Mrs Olajumoke Benson and a handful of notable figures in the community.
Director General of the iCare Foundation, Mayor Deen Sanwoola in his remark urged the beneficiaries to continue to support the lawmaker as he also puts their interests at heart as he represents them at the House of Representatives.
