Shocking! Nigerian Arsenal fan dies after club conceded goal against Stoke
It was a tragic moment in Imo state over the weekend as a die hard Arsenal fan slumped and died while watching the match between the club and Stoke City.
Dominic Ejimba couldn’t bear the brunt as his side which slotted in four goals in their opening match against Leicester couldnt find the back of the net at the Bet365 stadium.
According to reports gathered by BlackBox Nigeria, Dominic a die hard Arsenal fan was watching the match at a public viewing centre on Owerri-Okigwe expressway in Isiala Mbano LG area of the state. Stoke’s new signing, Jese Rodriguez scored a fantastic goal at the resumption of the second half which gave Dominic a shock. He immediately collapsed and died before he could be rushed to the hospital.
According to an eyewitness, Chuks Amuka, “He slumped immediately Stoke City scored a goal. Before my uncle, Hezekiah Amaku, could rush him to the hospital, he died.”
“It was unfortunate because all of us were exchanging jokes. Nobody was sensing any danger. We never knew that death was lurking. He had supported Arsenal for a very long time now. He couldn’t had taken that goal very seriously,” he further said.
