Shocking Footage Shows Teacher Physically Abusing 3-year-old Pupil at Ikorodu School

Disturbing footage has surfaced from Christ-Mitots School in Ikorodu, showing a teacher, Stella Nwadigo, physically abusing a 3-year-old student, Abayomi Micheal, sparking serious concerns about child safety in schools.

The footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows the teacher allegedly mistreating the young child, causing public outrage and widespread condemnation.

Abayomi Micheal, who is just three years old, is seen being physically restrained and handled roughly by Nwadigo for writing ‘Six and one’, raising red flags about the safety of children under the care of educators.

The incident was reportedly captured by an anonymous person at the school, who later shared the footage with Naija_Pr which was seen on the X page.

The video quickly gained traction, with many parents and child welfare advocates calling for immediate action. The footage has ignited a broader discussion on child protection and the need for stricter monitoring and accountability within schools.

In response to the incident, the school administration has launched an internal investigation, though no formal statement has been made regarding the teacher’s suspension or disciplinary action.

Authorities have also been notified, and the Lagos Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) Officials were seen making her arrest and is expected to conduct a thorough investigation to determine the appropriate steps to ensure the child’s safety and hold the responsible party accountable.

This alarming case has raised questions about the adequacy of child protection mechanisms in schools and the importance of safeguarding children from abuse.

As investigations continue, the public is urging both the school and authorities to take swift and decisive action to ensure that such incidents never happen again, and that the child’s welfare is prioritized.
