By Seyi Makinde Announces COVID19 Result, Becomes Fourth Governor With Corona Virus
The Executive Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde moments ago confirmed that the COVID19 test he took returned positive.
Makinde is the fourth State Govenor to be infected with the dreadful corona virus after Bala Muhammed of Bauchi, Yahaya Bello of Kogi and just recently Nasir El-Rufai of Kaduna State all tested positive.
The announcement was made by the Governor himself on his Twitter page and announced that he will be stepping as the State’s Head of the COVID19 Task Force and appointed Professor Temitope Along to continue with the mission.
He tweeted, “I just received my COVID-19 confirmation test result. It is POSITIVE. I am asymptomatic and will continue to self-isolate. I have designated Prof Temitope Alonge, former Chief Medical Director of the University College, Ibadan, as the Head of COVID-19 Task Force while I recover fully. Please continue to comply with all the directives from the COVID-19 Task Force. Stay home, stay safe.
