Senator Tokunbo Abiru of Lagos East Senatorial District has called for deeper collaboration between the APC National Youth Secretariat and tech-driven youth initiatives as he toured the party’s newly commissioned youth hub in Abuja on Wednesday.
Rather than a mere ceremonial visit, the senator who chairs the Senate Committee on Banking, Insurance and Other Financial Institutions used the occasion to advocate greater support for digital innovation and youth entrepreneurship across party lines.
He applauded the leadership of APC National Youth Leader, Dr. Dayo Israel, for creating a vibrant space equipped with multimedia studios, event halls, game zones, and training areas, describing it as a “breeding ground for forward-thinking youth.”
Highlighting the success of his own SAIL Innovation Lab in Ikorodu, where over 1,900 youths have received tech training and more than 6,000 teachers empowered in partnership with MTN Foundation, Abiru urged youth leaders to explore synergies that can scale such impact nationally.
“This is beyond politics,” he said.
“It’s about building a future-ready generation. Renewed Hope is not a slogan, it’s unfolding through bold, tech-led solutions.”
Dr. Israel welcomed the proposal, affirming the youth wing’s commitment to inclusive political engagement and innovation-driven development.
This development emphasizes Abiru’s push for policy-aligned innovation and cross-platform collaboration as a key takeaway from the visit.
