Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, representing Lagos East Senatorial District, has once again demonstrated his commitment to grassroots development with the delivery of multiple community-focused projects in Igbogbo Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA).
The projects were officially handed over to the community on Monday, drawing commendation from residents, traditional rulers, and political leaders.
Speaking on behalf of the Senator at the event, Hon. Adebimpe Akinsola, a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, said the completed projects reflect Senator Abiru’s unwavering dedication to people-centered representation.
She noted that the interventions are not just about building infrastructure but about restoring dignity, improving access to healthcare and education, and creating lasting opportunities for constituents.
The projects were received with excitement by the leadership of Igbogbo Baiyeku LCDA, under the chairmanship of Hon. Olusesan Daini, who praised the Senator’s vision and consistency.
The commissioning was graced by notable figures including the traditional ruler of Igbogbo Kingdom, Oba (Barr.) Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, as well as key political figures such as Prince Abiodun Ogunleye, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe, and Asiwaju Olorunfunmi Basorun, who all described Abiru as a silent achiever whose works continue to speak for him.
In his remarks, Senator Abiru urged the community to take full ownership of the new facilities, stressing the importance of proper maintenance and sustainability.
He reiterated that the projects are part of a broader strategy to uplift the standard of living across Lagos East, particularly in the areas of education, health, and youth empowerment.
In addition to the Igbogbo Baiyeku projects, Senator Abiru also recently delivered similar interventions in Lekki LCDA. Represented by his media aide, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, the Senator handed over a newly constructed and fully equipped primary health centre in Akodo-Ise, an upgraded health centre in Folu community, and rehabilitated classroom blocks in Lepia and Olomowewe.
Local leaders in Lekki, including the Executive Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaq Kasali, expressed their gratitude, describing the Senator’s work as impactful and timely.
The lawmaker’s ongoing projects in the Epe Division including a modern market, youth centres, and the upcoming SAIL Innovation Lab and Sports Complex in Orimedu, Ibeju-Lekki were also highlighted as evidence of his long-term commitment to development across the senatorial district.
As more projects are expected in Ijede, Imota, and other parts of Lagos East, Senator Abiru has continued to build a reputation for performance-driven representation focused on sustainable impact.
