Former presidential adviser, Senator Florence Ita-Giwa has officially returned to the ruling All Progressives Congress after a public declaration on Friday, April 7th.
The former Senator of Cross Rivers South Constituency revealed that she has been idle for the past year at the troubled People’s Democratic Party.
She highlighted her readiness to work for President Muhammadu Buhari, whom she stated has been misunderstood by Nigerians.
She said, “I have been idle in the PDP for over one year now. It is time for me to move on politically with my huge Bakassi supporters.”
Popularly called Mama Bakassi, Senator Ita-Giwa was a founding member of the All Nigeria People’s Party(ANPP) which later merged to form the APC. She decamped to the PDP in 2004.
She was registered by Inyang Okon, the APC Chairman of Ema ward on Friday.
She disclosed that she needed a credible platform to continue her political life for the progress of her Bakassi people at both the State and National levels.
