Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan has been suspended for six months by the Senate, following her allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
The suspension, which was recommended by the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions, includes the withdrawal of her salary and security details.
Additionally, she’s been barred from entering the National Assembly premises during her suspension period.
The controversy began when Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central, formally accused Akpabio of misconduct, submitting a petition before the Senate.
However, it seems the tables have turned, and she’s now facing the consequences of her actions.
Interestingly, there’s a twist in the story. A Federal High Court in Abuja has issued an interim order stopping the Senate Committee on Ethics, Privileges, and Public Petitions from proceeding with an investigation into Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
This might change the course of events, but for now, her suspension remains in effect
