By Senate President, Saraki Announces Exit From APC On Twitter
Nigeria’s 3rd citizen, Senator Abubakar Olubukola Saraki moments ago took to the social media to announce his exit from the ruling party, the All Progressives Congress.
The Senate President’s exit from the APC is coming exactly 7days after 14 Senators left the party and relocated to the main opposition party, the People’s Democratic Party.
Senator Saraki in a single tweet disclosed that his exit is coming after due consultations from relevant stakeholders.
It will be recalled that Nigerians woke up to the news of Police barricading the houses of the Senator Saraki and his Deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu on Tuesday, July 24th. The day was later filled with political drama as several lawmakers decamped from the ruling party, APC and moved to other political parties.
