Senate President Bukola Saraki visits female sergeant-at-arms injured during Senate invasion

The President of the Nigerian Senate, Bukola Daramola yesterday visited the home of Mrs Sandra Davou, the injured Sergeant-At-Arms officer of the upper chambers who was on duty during last week’s invasion which led to the theft of the Mace of authority.

The legislative staff was assaulted by men who invaded the Senate Chambers in an almost successful bid to steal the Mace during a plenary session presided over by the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu.

With the Senate President were his deputy, Senator Ike Ekweremadu and Bauchi Senator, Isah Hamma Misau.
The Senate President described the assault victim, Sandra Davou as brave.
