President Muhammadu Buhari is currently trending on Twitter and it is for no other reason than his approval of $500,000 earlier today to Guinea Bissau’s government for its forthcoming election, BlackBox Nigeria reports.

President Buhari approved the huge sum, on his capacity as the Chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Authority of Heads of State and Government.
BlackBox Nigeria gathered from a statement by the President’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, in Abuja earlier today, Friday, April 26th 2019 that the president also dispatched the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, as Special Envoy to Guinea Bissau.
President @MBuhari had in response to an urgent request for assistance by the Government of Guinea Bissau graciously approved support to the country's election process including 350 units of electoral kits, 10 motorcycles, 5 Hilux vans, 2 light trucks and US$500,000.

The presidential aide stated that the President had in response to an urgent request for assistance by the Government of Guinea Bissau graciously approved support to the country’s election process. He said the assistance included 350 units of electoral kits, 10 motorcycles, five Hilux vans, two light trucks and 500,000 dollars.
